あとは、PC上で画像をスラッシュカードにしていくと、
短期記憶から長期記憶に変わります。
この方法面倒ですが、定着率が異様に高いのが特徴です。
今回は片手間的にやって100単語でしたが、
集中すれば(1日1-2時間避ければ)、
1カ月で300単語はいけると思います。
コツは、よくでてくるけど覚えにくい難単語です。
簡単な単語で、この技を使うともったいないでしょう。

【解説】ギャル曽根ワード。アメリカは肥満大国で、よくでてきます。私がいたフロリ州は50州の中でも肥満率が高い国でして、自分が痩せたと錯覚したほどでした(帰国時+2kgだった・汗)。ちなみに「肥満」は、obesity(オビシティ)、fatness、corpulent(コーピュレント)あたりです。opulentは【056】で登場しましたね。"pulent"は「貴族的な贅沢さ」の語感です。

【解説】我々、学術系の研究者で話しあう時、もしくは外資系のマーケティング部の方は会議の時、ほぼ100%で登場する単語ではないでしょうか。Googleでは "an anecdotal evidence" (事例証拠)で「370万ヒット!」をカマしております。単語帳には、あまり載ってませんが、ネイティヴからみれば「ほぼ日常語」だといえます。

【解説】「ややグレーな方法で」回避するというのがポイント(笑)。cirは「サークル」とか「サーキット」とか環境(circumstance)の「cir」ですな。ようは「丸っこい」「輪」であります。輪を描いて避けるということ。派生して「出し抜く」という意味もあり。

※今回は頭文字「h」を並べてみました。
語彙力が10000とか12000語レベルを超えてくると、
同じような単語で混乱してきます。
そういう場合「言葉と言葉」で結びつけるのでなく、
今回のように「紛らわしい単語」を書きだし、
(文字を含んだ)「画像ごとっ!」
まるっと覚えると1発で入ります。
コツは「文字入り」の画像を見つけてくることです。
この作業は美味しい料理を作る時の「下処理」に似ています。
魚をさばく時、ウロコを落として内臓をだしますね。
あれと同じ。
右脳領域を使いましょう。
